I have been selected, what do I need to provide?

Gallery ready, for us, means art that is 100% finished and ready to hang on our walls.

Canvas artwork must have their edges completely painted, paper works must be framed and have properly-installed hanging wire.

Sculptural work must have the ability to hang on a wall (preferably, with wire).

What does curated mean?

Curated, for us, means we consider all applications but can only accept a limited number of different “Types/Styles” of artists per artists showcase.

Limiting the number of artists with similar works in one showing insures a fair amount of exposure per artists.

We believe in community over competition and strive to offer a supportive environment for all involved.

Do you advertise?

Absolutely! A large part of the registration fees are put back into the gallery as advertising costs.

Paid advertising is on on Facebook, Instagram and other online sources. Plus local signage and of course vendors also help get the word out. We also submit a monthly article to Voices and Patch.

The downtown location and proximity to the Farmers Market also drives additional traffic to our gallery.

Artist REFUNDS

There are no refunds for artist cancellations.

How do you pick your artists?

Gallery 415 organizers are a collection of artists, makers and entrepreneurs. We understand it’s hard out there, we’re out there too! We receive more applications than we can accept but, our curator takes times to review every single one and hand selects a variety of artists that represent several different styles of art per every showcase.

Some of our criteria for selecting featured artists include:

  • Quality of the artwork being submitted

  • Uniqueness or innovativeness of the medium(s) used

  • Artists presence consistency on social media, specifically instagram & Facebook

  • Presentation/Photograph quality of your artwork

  • Limits on the number of artists per art style/category per showcase

  • Artwork that is not available at retail outlets. Overly saturated trends are not a good fit for us.

Please understand we are unable to provide critiques to applicants not selected for Gallery415
