CONSTRUCTED IN 1895

The main buildings were home to a corset factory and hosiery mill, and sponge rubber products company

1930'S

After B. F. Goodrich purchased Sponge Rubber Products they began constructing a series of intricate passages to expand the manufacturing/warehousing into all nine buildings

1975

Shortly after a devastating fire that destroyed another major plant location, 415 Howe Ave was sold. Nick Conti purchased the building and established Conti Self-Storage. It was the first self-storage company in the Shelton/Valley area. Nick Conti also dreamed of utilizing the building to help revitalize the downtown area.

OVER 40 YEARS LATER, Nick Conti's daughter and grandchildren carry on his legacy or bringing commerce and community and continuing to revitalize this historical building.
